    The Greek astronomers' ideas were incorrect compared with modern concepts when the astronomers' said that th sun was 300 times biger than the earth.

    2. Which estimate is closest to modern measurements? How could the Hellenists be so accurate?

    The estimate that was closest to modern measurment is that Eratosthenes used geometry to compute the earth’s circumference at 24,662 miles. The Hellenists are so accurate because they used the right measurements.
